Test Variant

The modified version of your page or element that you are testing against the control.

What is a Test Variant?

The test variant (often called Variant B) is the version where you've made a specific change you want to test. This could be a different headline, a new button color, or a completely different layout.

In a standard A/B test, you have one control and one test variant. In an A/B/C test, you might have multiple test variants.

Best Practices

  • Test one thing at a time: To know exactly what caused the change in performance.
  • Significant changes: Small tweaks often require huge amounts of traffic to show results.
